This tutorial introduces learners to techniques that help design adventure-based learning experiences by using challenge-based activities to encourage critical thinking and media literacy, instilling activism and empathy for the active participation of young people in real-world environmental issues. By the end of this session, participants will be able to design stories in accordance with adventure-based learning experiences and adapt them to suit different age groups and learning difficulties.

This tutorial will help you fully utilise the Green Saga project toolbox by: 

● Understanding the variety of materials available (all free, multilingual, and adaptable) and their educational value.
● Navigating the toolbox efficiently to find relevant resources.
● Integrating resources into different learning environments (both formal and informal settings).
● Maximising the potential of tools to create engaging adventure books and storytelling educational projects.

The aim of this tutorial is to equip educators and youth workers with the essential knowledge and tools to write and develop interactive adventure books centred around climate change. The themes concerning the climate are varied and increasingly recognised by young people, who are often anxious about these issues, but also the protagonists of global movements advocating for more sustainable policies.

The idea, therefore, to reflect both their anxieties and their activism within the stories in order to motivate, inform and engage young readers in a positive way.

Every story will carry the important mission of helping learners develop their skills in a creative and flexible way, fostering critical thinking and non-traditional reasoning, and allowing them to strategically strengthen their educational and professional growth.
