Green Saga
Fostering environmental education through immersive learning.
Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, yet many young people lack the tools they need to understand sustainability and take meaningful action.
Traditional education often focuses heavily on theory, making it challenging for students to connect with real-world environmental issues. Green Saga is here to change that by turning environmental learning into a fun, interactive, and meaningful experience through the power of storytelling.
The project will create 15 adventure books, a user guide, and a range of educational materials in six languages. These resources place young learners at the heart of environmental challenges, encouraging them to make decisions and experience the impact of their choices. By blending compelling stories with lessons on sustainability, Green Saga promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
To ensure real impact, the project will train 10 youth workers and involve 140 young people in testing activities. Teachers will receive the necessary support to integrate the materials into their classrooms. Special care will also be taken to ensure accessibility, with adaptations made for learners with Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) so that every student can participate.
Green Saga is a collaborative project involving partners from Lithuania, Belgium, Spain, Italy, and Slovenia. Each organisation brings expertise in education, storytelling, and environmental awareness, working together to create engaging and practical learning tools that can be used across Europe.
Resources will be shared with schools, educators, and youth organisations through digital platforms and social media to inspire and empower the next generation to take action for a more sustainable future.
Join the movement! Stay connected with Green Saga and our partners on social media as we empower young minds to take action for the planet.
